The option is a benefit that the legislation offers to foreigners who meet certain conditions to acquire Spanish nationality. They will have the right to acquire Spanish nationality by this means:
- Those persons who are or have been subject to the parental authority of a Spaniard.
- Those whose father or mother was Spanish and was born in Spain.
- Those persons whose filiation or birth is determined after eighteen years of age.
- Those persons whose adoption by Spaniards takes place after the age of eighteen. In this case the right to opt exists until the period of two years from the constitution of the adoption has elapsed.
Services offered by the Firm

- In case additional information is required by the General Directorate of Registries and Notaries, Ministry of Justice, according to Article 10 of the Regulation regulating the procedure for the acquisition of Spanish nationality by residence, approved by RD 1004/2015, of November 6, if additional documentation is required, it may be remedied telematically.
- DELE and CCSE test registration.
- Assistance at the different Spanish Consulates is not included, however, we can provide online advice through video calls, telephone, or e-mail.
- Accompanying pre-swearing and swearing-in process, if the interested party requests this additional service.
- Accompaniment to obtain ID card and passport, if the interested party requests this additional service.
