What is the Social Security Affiliation Number or NAF?
The Social Security Number identifies the citizen in his relations with the Social Security.
Who can apply?
- Any citizen or employee or self-employed worker who does not have one.
- The employer, for any worker he/she is going to hire if he/she does not have one.
- The Provincial Directorates of the General Treasury of the Social Security or Administrations will assign it when workers or employers fail to comply with their obligation.
Where is it processed?
At the Administration of the General Treasury of Social Security where the citizen is domiciled or where the company where the employee works is domiciled. If you have a digital certificate you can access the service Assignment of Social Security number at the Electronic Headquarters.
