If you work in the audiovisual sectorl you should know that since 2021 Spain has a flexible regulation that allows you to obtain a work authorization for work authorization if you are going to be part of audiovisual productions or artistic activities activities that take place in Spain and are broadcasted by different mass media.
Advantages of this type of authorization:
  • Short resolution times: 20 working days 
  • You can travel with your family members 
  • Applies to any profile: technicians, artists or foreign professionals who are part of the production team. 
  • It is possible to apply for a stay in Spain (tourism), avoiding going through the Spanish Consulate in the place of residence.
  • The authorization may be renewable
  • The national employment situation is not taken into account.
  • Collective processing
Where to apply? 

Before the Unit of Large Companies and Strategic Groups - UGE and the Spanish Consulate in the country of origin or residence (if the foreigner is not in Spain at the time of application and/or is a national of a country requiring a short-stay visa).

Who must apply for authorization?

Spanish companies together with the documentation proving compliance with requirements through electronic means. 

What are the requirements?

Have an employment or professional relationship with the company, have no criminal record, have health care covered, among others.
