What type of Authorization is involved?
This is a temporary residence and work authorization for a non-resident foreigner in Spain for the performance of a self-employed lucrative activity on his own account. It is a permit for foreigners who want to create their own business. own business in Spain and develop their professional activity in Spanish territory.
What are the main requirements?
- Comply with the legal requirements for the opening and operation of the projected economic activity.
- Possess the required professional qualification or accredited experience, sufficient in the exercise of the professional activity, as well as, if applicable, membership in a professional association when required.
- Proof that the planned investment is sufficient and the impact, if any, on job creation, including self-employment. For this purpose, an appraisal report issued by one of the following organizations must be submitted: ATA, UPTA, CIAE,OPA, UATAE.
Who is the person entitled to file the application?
The foreigner, personally.
What is the place to submit the application?
The application is submitted to the Spanish diplomatic mission or consular office corresponding in the country of origin or where your legal residence is established.
The Consulate of Spain is in charge of receiving all the documentation and subsequently and then forwards it to the Foreigners Office of the place where the interested party wishes to develop his/her professional activity.
Once the Immigration Office grants or denies the residence authorization, the resolution is sent to the Consulate so that it can notify the interested party and proceed with the processing of the visa.
